Someone suggested shapes as a topic, so although I am not a math person (not even close) we dealt with basic shapes today. Some of them overlapped, but I figured the terminology and pictures were what mattered. I also thought it would be fun to introduce them to the mobius strip and show them what it does, as well as the squircle, part square and part circle.
Early in our videoing days, I talked about fairies and told them that I put up a fairy garden in the summer. I owed them an update since my garden is finally up and open for fairy residency, so I read a short poem about spotting fairies in my garden and showed them some pictures of my garden/village, complete with lots of houses, a town playground, and a baby fairy in one of my flowers. So it was a shape and fairy kind of day. 🙂
